Business Attorney - Contracts, Employment & Litigation Support
San Diego, CA Direct-Hire $50.00 - $70.00/hr Onsite

Job Description

A multi-office law firm with a national footprint is seeking an outstanding, California licensed Business Attorney with approximately 3-6 years of experience. The firm operates across seven offices nationwide, serving clients ranging from small and mid-sized businesses to large national organizations, and is recognized for excellence in commercial litigation, labor & employment, and professional liability matters, with consistent recognition by Best Lawyers in America® Best Law Firms and Chambers Spotlight.

Ideal for a civil litigator or hybrid litigation/transactional attorney; prior in-house experience is a strong plus. The successful candidate will be a strong, independent self-starter capable of managing matters with minimal supervision.

The role will function in an outside-counsel-style capacity, handling a wide range of business and legal matters, including contracts, employment-related issues, and general litigation support. Substantial experience with civil discovery, law and motion practice, and deposition work is required. The ability to take instruction and independently run matters from start to finish is essential.

The hourly rate for this role is $50-$70 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The anticipated duration of the assignment is approximately six months, with the potential for longer-term opportunities based on performance and business needs.

This position is primarily in-office in San Diego. Limited remote flexibility may be available for candidates based locally. The interview process will include an in-office component, and scheduling is flexible.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status. We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act, City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance.
